From people I've spoke to he didn't go down well in the St Helier hustings, when the votes come in from St Helier, St Clement and St Saviour we'll see how he does.

He was always going to do well in the country parishes.

Yup I'm only going by what I've been told by people who attended the hustings, I didn't so can't say what I've been told is accurate.

But one thing I can say is imho he shouldn't have stood for election.

I should imagine he is feeeling fairly smug with several of the Chamber of Commerce members that I listed previously having got in, he has already said he has some money to throw away on projects, I should imagine "Grafters" and immigrant workers will be doing very well out of it and we will have an increasing working population.

Some mauling ;D

Anyway not going to waste my time on here but suffice to say the electorate have voted and their views stand.

Please to see that all of the four I voted for were elected as senators

As for Stu " you can fool all the people some time, you can fool some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time"

Bye and good luck in the High Court LOL!!!!

How people do in the hustings is of negligible importance compared to how they are reported as doing in the hustings.

The "mauling" only appeared online, on one blog, and on links in Facebook.

The vast majority of the electorate get their news from the JEP, BBC and CTV, none of whom mentioned it.

Hence, for all practical purposes, it was invisible.

tonytheprof.........is spot on ............and so much  is covered up by  " not " reporting - by the MSM, but having a look at the screen before I get the sleep , I am so gratefull that I can say what I want here, and if everything was as open and transparent,  the world would not be in the mess it is now. Greece would have never been allowed into the EU for a start because it was bankrupt when it joined.

Keep on getting stronger planetjersey, Jersey needs you.

Phil is saving anything that will get him in power. Why?
Will i will hold a referendum on stopping GST. Well we all know that only the members can vote to do that and the majority will not pass that. If there was a chance of that then it would have been done before. Just a smoke screen that he knows would not get passed but it does sound good to the public.
Secondly he wants to be able to sack ministers without going to the States. Meaning i will only have ministers who agree with me.
All his manifesto means Power Power Power.
So God help us if he becomes CM.
