‘The UK is 27.5 per cent cheaper to the Northern American tourist now than on 1 January this year,’ he said. ‘The UK is ten per cent cheaper to the Euro traveller now than on 1 January this year. The opportunities to get people to come to Jersey for good value and good product are immense.’

I hope that Jersey will not be spending money marketing Jersey to the USA.  Every single penny would be wasted.

Few Americans travel outside of the USA, only about 20% of them even have a passport.  Many Americans are fairly poor, and don't have money to throw around.  Those who do visit Europe are generally the wealthy minority, exchange rates will make little difference to them, and in any case the cost of goods in the UK and Jersey is expensive, regardless of exchange rates.  Why would they come here instead of well known European destinations, London, Paris, Holland, etc.?

"The UK is ten percent cheaper to the Euro traveller now".  This is a bit misleading, the UK is still one of the most expensive places in the world.  It's known as "rip-off Britain" for a reason.
