How do I rate TLS?
A big fat Zero!

Lost touch with the majority of Jersey.

If he becomes Chief Minister we will be the laughing stock of the world! :-[

Letter in the local rag:
"NOT only does Senator Terry Le Sueur have the audacity to ignore the wishes of the electorate by introducing GST, he has now targeted the most vulnerable members of our society, the young and the elderly.

He states (JEP, 15 July) that there is no money available for free nursery places or residential care, so he has decided not to include their needs in next year’s States spending plans.

No wonder he has announced that he will not stand for re-election, as he knows that we, the electorate, will have memories when we come to cast our votes in 2011, which his supporters in the States would do well to remember".

Well when they crown him as Chief Minister, unless Phil Ozouf or somebody else goes for the job.  These letters will start to get a lot more bitter.

I can't see Phil or Freddie letting Terry get his hands on the big prize. Not without some Brown/Blair Granita-esque cover up.

I know a lot of people do not like the idea of TLS being CM.  I have heard from a couple of Ministers that FW is actually an easy CM to work with but do not see TLS in the same light.  Maybe we don't really know the whole story and perhaps members of the States think the same as the Public critics in this respect?

If he is not going to stand for re election when his term expires, he should not be allowed to stand for chief minister as it shows he has no long term comitment for Island politics.

I agree, he should be forced to at least stand again.

Geoff Southern listens and cares about the workers and the elderly. something Frank Walker or the Terry Le Sueur never do. People should support the Jersey Democratic Alliance to get our Island back.

Please show some examples of Deputy Southern caring about all workers, not just a small minority. He certainly has some strange views on housing etc

What annoyed me recently was his disregard for the rate payers of St Helier.  There was a debate at the Town Hall about the pension arrangements for the Parish workers and it was really a rate payer decision, as they are the ones who would be paying for the pension arrangements.  He got up and spoke several times like a savior of the Manual Workers.

He is happy to spend other peoples money for the niche he supports.

Anyway this is going off topic.  Terry Le Sueur as the next CM?  No thanks.
