soup is probably the cheapest, easiest and most healthiest food to eat, make a load of it at the weekend, and just keep topping it up, the flavour gets better and you can take some to work in a tupperware container, a veg soup will cost about £1.50 max for a shed load

Powdered tomato ..that's a new concept to me.  :-\

How long before the UK joins it's trading partner the USA and dutch by licencing  the growing of cannabis . The wall seems to be coming down in the legalisation and cultivation of cannabis, and Jersey could indeed find a new market if it times the market correctly. The fact that two States in America grow cannabis under Government license says a lot about the future.

May I add,a personal view is don’t do drugs but obviously a lot do especially for medical purposes, as in two states in the USA or so we are told ?

Quote.

The use, sale and possession of cannabis (marijuana) in the United States is illegal under federal law. However, some states have created exemptions for medical cannabis use, as well as decriminalized non-medical cannabis use. In two states, Colorado and Washington, the sale and possession of marijuana is legal for both medical and non-medical use.

In Washington and Colorado, meanwhile, voters passed an initiative to allow pot for recreational use.

Jersey could save a fortune by legalising the growing of pot for personal use.

If it were legal already, then Curtis Warren's plot to import cannabis would never have happened, because there would have been no money to be made.  That alone would have saved us millions.

It would also reduce the number of people being prosecuted and jailed which would save money.

Eventually the stigmas attached to it would fade, and they could introduce a licence system which would generate revenue.  So, you would have to pay for a licence to grow small amounts for your own use.

Just legalise and tax it.
Folk who use it are going to continue to regardless of its current illegal status.

Millions would be saved on police, court and prison costs.
Millions could be made on the tax, (no different from taxing alcohol and tobacco).

Tourism would boom.
Agriculture,(under glass), would boom.

Its a no brainer.
