Monthly Parking Permits
« on: May 01, 2017, 02:58:28 AM »
Just  a ,"Heads up", for anyone who regularly uses public car parks and purchases monthly permit.
Make sure you have updated and displayed on Tuesday.
Parking Control actively seek out cars that normally display monthly permits on the first working day, (In this case Tuesday),when the month changes over a weekend.
They know from their daily tours of car parks which vehicles normally display monthly cards and know exactly where to look for folk who have forgotten to update them.
I was caught out last month, and when I went to pay the £40,(reduced from £60), fine and purchase another monthly permit the guy at the Sand St office chuckled that they had caught loads this month.
This annoyed me.
It would have been quite simple for the ticketing officer to pop a note on my windscreen, (Knowing full well that I had been paying for a monthly permit for over 9 months), to remind me that it was time to renew.
