Anyone tried Airtel-Vodafone's 3G Broadband?

Apparently, it supports downlink speeds up to 7.2 Mbps.

I'm on 1024/384 with Jersey Telecom.

Recommended server was Maidenhead:

Then I tried London:

try doing tests about 5pm onwards,
newtel speed drops on my line from about 4pm till mid night.
had J.T out half a dozen times, they say its down to amount of users in my area.
going on since broadband started

When they first introduced broadband the line contention ratio was 20:1, now it is 50:1.  Meaning that when it is busy you're potentially sharing a line with up to 50 other homes.

20:1 was good, I think it was the lowest in the UK, on a domestic connection.

Here's mine

Not a true comparison though as I pay Newtel £35 a month for a business line which gives me 20:1 contention and up to 512 up.

When I push the buttons, stuff appears.

Not too fussed if it takes half a second longer than it should.

I had to move from residential to business to get decent speeds again.
Can't wait for 8Mb!

I wouldn't go that far!!  ???  I've been working for two years to help fund my living costs, my total "grant" was less than the tax I've paid them this year, in addition to this I have outstanding ITIS that I'm expected to pay from any earnings during the christmas and summer holidays over the next 3 years...  :( plus my parents have the burden of paying accommodation costs and international tuition fees as Jersey is useless at negotiation, or more likely didn't even bother trying.  So for the record, I'm entitled to my fast internet!
