Get all the non born jersey people out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Leave the island to the jersey person, we were fine as we were. Then finance comes and brings all the money grabbing b*****s to make a quick buck and pull this island to pieces!!!!!! Christ it is so bad the young ones do not stand a chance anymore. Jobs in the trades go to non locals, look at the building which we would not need but all foreign labour used. Jersey firms going out of business. Some people do not realise that you do not need loads of money to enjoy life but if one wants to behave and live like a wag, let them go to London or somewhere where the wags go and leave us to enjoy our island!!!
You cannot be serious, what a racist, narrow minded git you sound.  Every Island from the UK to Austrialia needs new blood, we are very small and need input, if not my daughter will have no choice but to marry her cousin - get real white night!  you sound like a member of the KKK!

White Knight, the most pathetic thing about all of your recent posts is that, in my recollection (and I've been on PJ almost since the start) not one member of Planet Jersey has displayed the "English people coming over here, telling us what to do" mentality that you rant about. Most people I know with English roots (in real life and on Planet Jersey) are very respectful of the island, its traditions and heritage.

You are fighting an invisible enemy on Planet Jersey. And, from what I can see, you are alienating most people in the process.

I agree. Whether you like or not White Knight the "old Jersey" is something you will soon only find in the museum
Even so it it is important to cherish and remember history and heritage
But " Tradition is a thing of the past" and one has to move on
The Jersey of now is a hotchpot of nationalities, races and characters. Poles are marrying Portuguese. Jersey born are marrying Thais etc. This can only be good for Jersey. The average Jersey resident travels a hell of a lot
All this creates a very strong, resilient and tolerant society and I believe this emerging " Jersey" is well placed to cope with the difficult times ahead. Entrepeneurs from different sections of the community will see opportunies and take calculated risks. I am non-British but actually proud to live in such a creative community and I happen to be lucky to live in such a beautiful island
When it comes to politics politicians should only give guidance and lead but should listen to the people who have elected them as they know best
Trouble is that they are now so much geared up for these sham consulation processes that no one cares about them. ( or believe the results ) What they should do more is take their suits of and pop into the places like pubs, restaurants etc unexpectedly buy some a drink and then ask them plainly : So, what do you think of the show sofar ?
What most of them seem to be doing is go to the States sittings and meetings, sit with the clique and  then go home to their very comfortable homes. Go and have a glass of wine with the Portuguese and Polish folk
Pomp and arrogance should have no place in the States of Jersey.
Get down to basics !

I could have told you that ages ago! This ,,,,,,,,,,, WK (fill in the blanks) Is a total and complete amalgamation of every bad or sad thing anyone has ever said about a Jerseyman. He is of course entirely racist, not an uncommon mode of behaviour amongs xenophobic islanders. If he is able to count his fingers and toes , I will explain why he has two extra of each ,it is called inbreeding ma cukkoo , eh?
When he Talks about working for the States and then says , Hard work , in the same sentence I was peeing myself! Christ it would almost be worth the collapse of the Finance Industry to see the look of confusion on this idiots face when they told him they could,nt pay his pension.

I told you not to mention the toes or the webbing

It is sad that my latest post let off such a tirade of racist feeling.  If those feelings truly persist in our community then it is far better we all know they exist than try to sweep them under a carpet, which is what seems to have been done in the past.   Some nosey person will only come along and pick up the carpet and exclaim that there is a load of dirt under here and the secret is out!

England has its fair share of non-English civil servants, and politicians (Maybe that is why some have decided to scoot over here pretty damn quick) and they have their own cross to bear.  I know because as Executor to a will I had to deal with civil servants in the UK and it was very hard to understand what some of them were saying, let alone try to sort out the business in hand.  I used the example of English Civil Servants within my earlier message because that is what we have but they could be French, Itallian or Jewish - If they don't have friends and relatives from the community they are serving they don't have the same comittment.  The point that I was trying to make was:  If a person is plucked out from another country, any other country to serve in our island, when they come they are not part of our community, they have no connection or ties with the community.  Connection is the buzzword.

I have English friends and relatives who are racist to the hilt and hate what is happening in their own land!  You see I am completely honest and I complain to them that I feel there are too many English Civil Servants here and they nod and seem to understand my whinging but then they complain to me about the way things are going back in England and I nod with them in empathy.  Some have become so angry that they have joined the National Front.  Isn't this sad!  Enoch Powell would be rolling his eyes up to heaven, saying I tried to tell you all this would end in tears.  You see he was not a racist just a realist.  He understood that a lot of blood would have to be lost before anyone will be joined, hand in hand, race with race before we all get on with one another.  I feel he was the most misunderstood politician in history.  The world order will not change without bloodshed.  History proves that!  If the world is highly populated something happens and the balance is retained eventually.  The pendulum swings!

I think we all have to calm down and remember to read the postings here completely and not miss points that are important to the message.  It is all too easy to nit pick on one sentence or a word and use that as a springboard for ones own views.

Sorry looking at old posts here and an interesting letter. Are the JDA still against finance? One thing is for sure that even with 3 members in the States I cannot see any positive power. Funny John Christensen is mentioned. He seemed to go all quiet after the Spring White Listing.
