I agree with you newmac, the hope is he does NOT invite Ozouf to become treasury minister. Dr Spin needs a long rest.

Certainly the best option of the 2 candidates.

But, it shows we have at least 24 idiots in the house.

During the debate both candidates were asked who they would nominate as their treasury minister and Senator Gorst said he would nominate either Senator Ian Le Marquand or Deputy John le Fondre.

Although there is no way of knowing until Thursday.

Thanks for that Ryan up to date and usefull,

Deputy Le Fondre is the man, he fell out with Phillip because he did not want to raise GST he wanted to cut the fat, so as to speak.

I hope he becomes the new Treasury Minister.

Certainly the lesser of two evils. I think we can breath a collective sigh of relief! :)

It will be interesting to see who voted for who.

Danrok , whilst I disagree with your comment , you are perfectly entitled to provide factual evidence on the details of the 24 people you allege to be idiots or has planet jersey now agreed, that you can call people idiots without evidence?
For my part ,I think Sir Phillip might have added a lot more gravitas to international proceedings than an X factor reject (jonnie, i think) but i am very often wrong.
Was not this person Gorst , responsible for a £10 million cock up in payments to chemists?
At my age I get confused , but it appears to me that once again the assembly has shown itself unfit for purpose.

The usual non descripts winning the argument then.
I always think as a rule of thumb , that if the Pitmans voted for it , it must be wrong.

i would not have someone owing me £10,000

The factual evidence would be that they voted for Bailhache, and in my opinion that is idiotic.  Easy enough to follow.

What do you mean "added a lot more gravitas to international proceedings"?  Sounds very vague to me.  But, that is just your opinion, which is the opposite to mine.
And, what do you mean "Gorst , responsible for a £10 million cock up in payments to chemists?"

Why should Jersey write out a £10m cheque to a load of pharmacies, just because they want it?  There is no cock-up.

At the time their fallout was reported as being just about GST. Now we know it was also about Lime Grove. John Le Fondre is a nailed on cert for Treasury.
