« on: October 19, 2011, 03:16:28 PM »
So, here we are election day. No doubt we will all be glued to the radio and internet. Lets get the results up here ASAP and discuss what they mean to the long suffering electorate of Jersey.

Bring on the fun and games

PB is going to win.  This afternoon I was in the company of 10 and none of them voted at all! Because all of them agreed there is no-one worth voting for, the usual suspects will get in.  We shall see. Hope SS gets a good wedge.

Only me and one other from work voted, the rest couldn't be bothered apart from one who had done jury service and for that reason alone did not fill in the registration forms. That was 2 out of 10 people. I think the main reason for them not voting though was because they have it pretty good over here so why bother. As much as I hope not, it would be interesting if Jersey goes down the pan due to whoever makes it and their rosey lives are not so rosey. I wonder what they will think about voting next time around!

people should be fined for not voting, as some are  feeling well off , good for them, a few more waves on the global economy, could see them  taking stock, as the desk next to them is cleared .
and yes not voting  plays right into the usual suspects hands .

No chance Scott - Well ok then just the one

Cohen will miss out. I believe Gorst has run an excellent election campaign and could possibly top the poll.

Ok that was two

One must also ask that if Farnham gets in will he hang around after clocking in as his voting attendance during his last stint was simply awful

Is it advisable to stick on this thread to wait for results rico?

I suppose I could listen to the radio or watch Channel but to be honest I am not that keen to do that.  They are a bit tarnished.

CTV's exit poll...

Our reporters were at all the parishes and districts for our poll. Philip Bailhache came top, followed extremely closely by Ian Gorst, who was just 1% behind, then Francis Le Gresley, Lyndon Farnham, Rose Colley, Freddie Cohen, Stuart Syvret, Linda Corby, Mark Forskitt, Sylvia Lagadu, Chris Whitworth, Darius Pearce and David Richardson.
