Sorry if we contacted you twice, it would have been another member of the team  informing members who may be away from Jersey that an election is due and obviously something has gone wrong .

Please accept our apologies.

What an odd response?! ::)

Contacted me twice? Never made any mention of that; it was the fact that the email you sent me contained pages of other members email addresses in the 'cc' field!!

A fact that I'm sure was obvious from my original post, that you edited to make your breach of my and their privacy less of an issue.

Maybe, if you hadn't gone on to compound the problem of this (probably) carelessly accidental breach, with deliberate act of trying to hide you mistake, I might have accepted your apologies; but kinda hard to trust it as sincere now.

Maybe you should apologise to each member whose email you disclosed to all the other members you sent your mass email out to??

The most ironic thing about this? I haven't been active for quite sometime, and as you'll be aware my last contact was asking the admins to delete my personal details due to my lack of faith in the site's administration over privacy!

You proved me right, and I was only really worried you weren't competent, now I know that's true, but you're also not even trustworthy ethically!

I don't see it, either.

But it is possible it was caught by a spam filter - CC'ing many recipients tends to do that.

 mpwpj was right to point out that he / she had asked for their account to be closed but this was not done by the old admin.

They were correct to point out that all information held by pj is private which consists of basically an email address - it needs mentioning that few email addresses could ever be linked to the name adopted by members.

Mainly members who have not been active for some time were sent a polite reminder from a member of the pj team but unfortunately made the mistake of not BCC the email addresses so those receiving the reminders saw some other members emails addresses. For some reason mpwpi received two of these reminders.

The mistake is seriously regretted and the PJ team apologies unreservedly for the error. mpwpi as requested has had their account closed and been sent an apology. Two other apologies have been sent out to members who complained.
This thread has not been taken down in an effort to show the seriousness of the mistake and the steep learning curve placed upon the volunteers running pj. It will  not happen again

In the event that you would like your account closed pm Shrek or Admin.
