Care worker arrested
« on: August 02, 2011, 08:46:34 PM »
Yesterday's JEP reported a care worker was sent to prison for a violent attack on his girlfriend.  He also had a previous for GBH.   How did he manage to get a job as a care worker with a record for GBH!  After serving his sentence his employer will willingly take him back.   Are there not supposed to be police checks for people working in care.   :o

yes  i was  amazed that this chap could come here and get a job as a care worker, with a record for gbh.
elsewhere in the world, i am sure deportation would follow, and a refusal of a visa.
i work around bank and trust type buildings , and have had to be police checked , before allowed to work in the building .

yo can hear it now " he,s such a nice chap, so helpfull" till hes goes home  and throttles the  girl friend in the bath.
domestic violence  is on both sides of the street , and is unacceptable  on any road of life .

The fact is there are rogues working as care workers, today, in Jersey who are as bad as, if not worse than this prick.

I know of a person who is in and out of prison on many occasions for stealing, a drug taker and quite possibly a dealer as well, for all I know, who works as a careworker.  For this reasons I am fiercely concerned with keeping fit and well and staying out of any old people's homes in the future.

That said, I am sure there are some really genuine, good and caring people around in the careworking world but the few that are bad make it worse for them.

Cali :(

(Nixon's motto was:  If two wrongs don't make a right, try three.
Is this the code of practise for some Jersey politicians as well!
