God help us all!!

The man can't even remember who he is let alone run an Island that is in the dire straits this one is. Another bumbling, incompetent fool, and it looks like the only opposition will be Ozouf.

Time to have a HUGE glass of vino to drown the sorrows.

"It cannot be right that a person can be chosen as the Chief Minister without their popularity having been tested at a recent election."

Many, many politicians utterences have a tendency to turn-a-round and bite them on the very pompous, oft privileged butt and they end up looking a bit like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

MATTHEW 7:1-5:

"Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull the mote out of thine eye; and behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast the mote out of thy brother's eye."

"Life gives to all the choice. You can satisfy yourself with mediocrity if you wish. You can be common, ordinary, dull, colorless, or you can channel your life so that it will be clean, vibrant, progressive, useful, colorful, rich". Spencer W. Kimball (Calimachon is not a Mormon nor is she in any shape or form religious but she thinks this applies to all humans and more so to a Humanist!  :)

A STATES Deputy has come under fire for referring to the only declared candidate for Chief Minister as ‘Mr Bean’.

Deputy Shona Pitman likened Senator Ian Le Marquand to the bumbling character played by Rowan Atkinson in an email sent to all States Members.

Yes BB - I think you have hit the nail right on the head.

Poor Mr Bean does not seem to realise he has earned that name by virtue of being a bumbling buffoon who is clueless as to what he is doing, not because of his looks or the way he speaks.

Should we feel some sympathy for the man? Eeeeer - on balance -no!

Obviously recent, in Ian Le Marquands world means 3 years ago. Still, he or Ozouf will only hold the position for 3 years until our Ex Baillif, man of the people - speaks for the general populace, man of great integrity, a fantastic measure of a man gets to be chief minister.

Only another 3 years to wait till this fine measure of a man takes over and gets Jersey independant from the UK. I can't wait, its like being a kid waiting for Christmas. All prayers will be answered!!!

Honesty and Integrity underpinned by the Truth.

AS was explained to me once by a politician there is no such thing as the perfect politician to any one person.

The best a person ( voter ) can hope for is that the politician having integrity and common sense as laid out in their manifesto before they won their seat carry's on with integrity and honesty when voting in the big house. It was explained that if the chosen politician votes around eighty percent of the wishes of the voter then that is a good result.

I accept that no politician opinion's is a blue print of my own personal views, they will probably have facts not available ( but should be ) to the public.

However I voted happily for Ian Le Marquand on the basis that he was reported to be very religious and had been in a job as a judge where he daily weaselled the truth out of people and worked with and for the truth.

Small white lies become bigger black lies, which can become nasty messy things that can consume and embarrass you. It is better to apologies and as non- perfect humans, most of us accept that.

I do feel very let down by Ian Le Marquand, in an email he sent me in a reply he said let the people decide.

Rico Sorda has written to the Senator and his latest posting is shorter and clearer. My view is that the Senator is very lucky not to be standing for election,  with the fog of answers offered to Scrutiny, probably because the truth is a distant memory,  the truth is all there for us all to see, as clear as  the destruction of the Portlet coastline.

Quote.

This is what happens when you have been found out. The good Senator Le Marquand knows that his name is forever going to linked  with the Cover- Up of the Historical Child Abuse Investigation. Can he still do the right thing or is it to late for him?

An exchange of letters from Ian Lemarquand and others, well worth a read.
