It does indeed have a whiff of Philip about it does it not?

In this article Senator Le Marquand squarely lays the blame at the feet of the Treasury Minister.
http://www.thisisjersey.com/latest/2011/08/31/taxpayer-could-lose-8m-over-lime-grove-fiasco/As does David Flowers with this parting shot;
http://www.thisisjersey.com/latest/2011/09/10/police-station-move-blame-the-minister/And after a few telephone calls today to people who have a tendency to be 'in the know' about these things it seems that the tide has turned somewhat against the current Treasury Minister and he is cutting an increasingly isolated figure within the COM.
In respect of Lime Grove I have also been told today that Ozouf was 'visited' upon by two States members who felt the need to bring him down to earth. They allegedly warned him that he was impugning the good name of two property valuers and was making the States liable to be sued for defamation. So perhaps it is this alleged behaviour that has turned the tide against Senator Ozouf from within his own camp? Others I have spoken to say that he has no support and is currently very vulnerable and politically isolated. Hence his cageyness in declaring his candidacy for Chief Minister perhaps? Who knows?
But maybe this does give some creedance to the wild speculation put forward that it was in fact Senator Ozouf that insisted Mr Ogley clear his desk once he was elected as Chief Minister? And maybe that is why the constructive dissmissal rumour is now doing the rounds?
Still doesn't answer the question why though?

I hope rico asks him directly.
