Senators Petition
« on: March 08, 2011, 11:21:10 AM »
I have just come across a site which is asking people to sign on behalf of saving the Senators seats in the States.
They would have got at least  5 of their party in at any election in the passed. I think the establishment has just realized that with a total of 4 senator seats getting lost over 3 years is very bad news for the establishment party.
The establishment i think would in most cases get 5 of their party members in when there was 6 seats in an election. With reducing the number by 2 this year they might find that they only get in 2 or 3 if lucky so that they will finish up being out numbered in 4 years time. I do not believe in what they are saying that we are loosing our democracy rights to vote island wide. They just know that if they want the same numbers in the States they know they will not win many district positions as in Deputy. We know that they do not want to change the make up of the States for reason that the establishment will lose out. They will do anything to hold on to power. Just look at them lately withholding evidence etc etc etc.

They are really going to town with trying to save 3 senators. The establishment are worried that they may lose 3 members. As for the Constables, well they have been in the States the longest. They go back in history being the first members of the States.

I would say right now that if the public were asked who would they like to see as CM? Le Gresley is the person that would come out on top i think.
