Duke of Normandy Tug.
Chevalier Blanc:
In an article on the BBC website the Commercial Director Myra Shacklady states that the Duke of Normandy Tug's weight is
7 tonne. With her reporting on the iron particles in the hydraulic system going to be payed by the insurance company and then we find out the cost of repairs to in the region of £100,000 plus what on earth is she doing in that job. Apart from the lies and knowledge about the tug she should be asked to resign without a payment.
When i worked for the Harbours they had people who knew what they were talking about and no lies. Just goes to show when you have the person at the top who is no good and they are the ones who appoint some high payed person into a job that both do not understand then see where the tax money goes. Also you then start to see why they overspent by £100,000,000 last year.
man in the street:
only seven tonne, lol.
loads of rumours about the tug , like a whopper about the removal of the vessel before the job was complete and stampping of feet , mind you total hearsay.
Chevalier Blanc:
Believe me what you may have heard would have been true.
Dundee:
Service was not complete and the oil needed changing, as they were informed, but the oil was never changed hence the damage.
Also the replacement vessel was of use as it undertook tasks the other one could not..
Harbours have always been a corrupt and arrogant department, although time past and now they have some very good workers, but sadly they often have little say in what goes on.
man in the street:
it was good to see "golliath" back, last time i had sight of her she was pulling a barge full of stone .
