Nurse M was initially charged with the theft of stealing drugs from the Hospital for which he was sentenced to two years unsupervised probation, and sacked from the General Hospital.
Previously he had been employed by the States of Jersey Police, but his services were dispensed with for various reasons.
Arrested again after the illegal drugs, medications and firearms among other items were found in his possession and held at St Saviour's Hospital pending bail application.
Disturbingly, it was revealed in Stuarts court case, that NO doctors involved with the deceased patients were interviewed as part of the police investigations, and furthermore nurses were not interviewed face to face, but by way of a questionnaire!!
Now I don't know about you Durendal, but that is not what I would call good police work, but I stand by what I hear in the court-room and maintain Stuart did have a genuine public interest case.
