Some people should try living with a disability. I would have thought most blue badge holders would happily give them up if there disability went with it.

Why stop at abolishing Blue Badges for the genuinely disabled in case someone uses them illegally? If that is the principle, you may as well ban cars and stop all motoring offences. After all, the able-bodied don't really need them, either.

Its quite simple really.
Have all the registered disabled folk, "Chipped".
With the technology available, it wouldn,t be too difficult to have car park use monitored.

All able bodied people should  be forced to park outside the ring road, thereby, ensuring they stay healthy by walking the rest of the way into town and that way they will be unlikely to ever need a blue badge because they will be sooooo healthy.

The disabled or people with an arthritic gait will be free to park within the ringroad as long as they like.

Add, "Folk with arthritic gait", to the ,"Chipped", data base.

I have no  problem being 'chipped'  I have nothing to hide.  I just hang my wooden leg on the bedstead at night and pop the glass eye in the tumbler with me teef!  If I am chipped I can claim subsidies.  Who pays, you pays  :D

Any of my ,"Chipped", relatives or employees are written off in one way or another by my accountant.
My accountant is clever enough to write himself off as well.

I do, indeed, pay my fair share. But I pay no more than my fair share.

I get chipped every Friday. There's a shop which does it while you wait at Red Houses, and several throughout the Island.

The area for parking needs to be made wider for disable drivers and all on the ground floor.
