High time we had a free from bias internet radio station with webcam facilities.  Just imagine, roving reporters for each parish, nothing will be able to be kept under wraps then.  Ferral kids in fear of being identified by churnalists!  Secret assignations 'blasted' into the public eye from every webcam, in houses and in boats, focussed on the streets,  car parks or marinas.  Big brother is not the state we feared at all BIG BROTHER  is your next door neighbour".

Is this the way things are going?

Thats a really good idea Cali,
I have a cheap cam disguised as a pen that takes good video and stills
and plugs into USB on any PC.
The news we hear about now is only what the authorities  want us to know about,
because in the old days JEP/BBC/CTV used to use radio scanners to listen in, but because of Tetra  encrypted Radios they cant tap in any more to hear the real live stuff thats happening around our island.
as an e.g.
I saw a Jayen Lorry crash into a silver merc coming out at Roberts garage springfield this morning at 9:05 wonder if it will get into the JEP or CTV News, mmm I doubt it.

That is a brilliant idea but what if you were doing something that was not harmful to anybody at all and not breaking the law and someone video's you and puts it on the web and this upsets your family. Could even lead to the family splitting up. In some cases could lead to blackmail. This is just a thought.
The idea as i have said is brilliant, i am just looking beyond the idea.

Yup Cali we need our own  independant news service where we can all contribute our info for free and keep the islands people informed whats happening for real as we see it on the streets with no biased opinions day by day,
like I just been to Grand Marche Coop and seen CTV film crew in there at 1:30pm filming someone with a product in there hand, prob a future advert?

I am sure that was the police and the person concerned should not have been holding that product in his hand but I am certain that Vlad will tell us why the man with a product in his hand should be hugged and cherished since he obviously has "issues" .Probably tissues as well , but I digress.
I see no problem whatsoever with "Big Brother" CCTV , everybodys prints and DNA on file , I,m sure it would lead to a better future for those of us who are not involved, nor wish to be involved with adolescents and that, should blame be laid , could easily be countered by evidence.
Only the guilty could possibly be upset and who gives a flying feck about them?

Perhaps shornski could explain what was the problem with that particular post?
As far as I can see it is reasonable, agrees with the context that with more internet , radio, CCTV , there would be less crime committed .
I must admit to confusion here , but then again I am often confused by the comments of BB and his mates.

These things can back fire, there's a thin line between taking a few snaps in public, and harassment.
