There were quite a few bands back in the good ole days.  I believe that there was a 60's night recently does anyone know how it went.  Was it successful.  I heard the Crescendoes were making a comeback.

Would like to see some of the other old bands make a comeback.  I might be a bit difficult for The Meteors though for obvious reasons.

So!  How many old Jersey Bands or Pop Groups can you recall?

The Parlour Band which transformed into the O Band

How many members went to the concert they played at Elizabeth Castle in 1976 or thereabouts?

Jeezo, this forum looks like a good hunting ground for Geoff Southern.

The O Band was the really popular later reincarnation and fronted by the legendary Pix Pickford

The were supported on one their tours by The Police (whatever happened to them)

Your point was far too subtle for this oldun lol.  I get your point now.  My mind was way back when not in the voting booth, or, possibly out of it, as the case may be  ;)

Good one though -  'I like it'!  Reference Freddie and The Dreamers version!

Normon 'OOOOOHOOOHOOO Normon' (Can't remember who sang that one?......Look above should the apostrophes come before the exclamation mark or after ROFLMAO

some of the lyrics wot i wrote
"climbing from your window
and hanging on the ledge
you think you're really living
that way you,re gonna wind up dead"
This song was entitled "Brainchild"
A tribute in advance to my fairly bewildered brother who did die quite a while later .Tragic but stupid.

I started playing in local bands in 1985 and stopped in 2004..They were

Rhythm collision
crashing jets
bulletproof

Also played  the punk pubs in london right good laugh if a little scary the Dew drop inn was my favourite in deptford ....

Played some covers but 90%of the songs were original..

Bulletproof was great fun because it was flat out hardcore punk/scar ....

I remember playing the old barg a ground gigs with the likes of 2minutes mr smith..

The talent on this island is amazing and that's not just the chicks but the venues are going faster than an ozouf fistfull stimulus i have so many many great memories of the local music scene

One top night with collision was playing in on the park with life o' riley it was sold out what a night... i also like the boogie brothers they were playing in the blue note last month

I had forgotten the Tropicanna.

Aaah good times.

Well if you were asked back again you must have been fairly good.

Oh another venue was the Prince of Wales at Greve de L'ecq, remember that one.  It rocked, at full swing I think if standing from the outside you would see the place shaking.

What instrument did you play rico.  I think we should start our own stream for bands in the island.  I have the technology and we could run a radio station for requests.

Only an idea!
