Amazon also ship certain items from Jersey.  Just the DVDs, video games, etc. from Indigo Lighthouse at Rue de Pres.

I have had a bad experience with play.com.  If they mess up your order you have to return the goods and pay the special delivery postage back to the UK.  I wanted to just exchange it up Indigo but you can't.  It was just before Xmas and the timing meant I had to go into town and get something else.  But I have not used them since and probably never will again.  The customer service is very poor and the telephone operator's english was bad.

Thanks for the info  I need a new car cause the doorlocks have gone remind me not to buy a Merc.  I was thinking of a Peugeot or Citroen,  any reviews.  I fancy a P.307 or a C.C5 but I guess that may be too big.

I'm going to be trading down soon, too. I'm thinking of getting something cheap to run like a Fiesta or whatever they call them these days. I'd do without a car if I thought I could - motorbikes are much more fun!

If your are looking for a cheap car to run there is the Matiz Daewoo, i bought one 3 years ago everything on it including A/C. Costs me about £20 per month in fuel i call it my noddy car. It has 3 cylinders 865cc. Perfect for this island. At the moment second hand cars are going cheap just bought 2 Renaults Scenic one diesel and the other petrel both were £3000 each and only 35000 miles and not a scratch on them.

I am not strong or well enough to ride a motorbike otherwise I would but to be honest I need a car I can take extended family away in.  Possibly two car convoy with another family member to France or England if I can afford the Ferry fee!!

I would not mind a cheap car Chevalier Blanc but I need room for family members and stores to go away with.  I have seen lots of bargains around.  I have to consider whether I want diesel or petrol.  Not sure of the implications of diesel anymore.  I would like to be green!

I want to ensure that I purchase a decent car that will not be a dead duck - by that I mean that I purchase from a firm that is not likely to go bankrupt.

So much to think about.

Diesel you go twice the mileage compared with petrol and the engine more reliable the only thing to stop diesel is, no fuel, air in diesel lineor the pump as packed up. You can pour a waterpipe all over the engine and it will not stop. Moot Atlas Editions do a great range of model cars perfect in every detail and very cheap to not run.
