As a humourous aside, I just noticed that BBC1's "This Week" politics programme with Neil/Portillo/Abbott played out on the gay penguin story, with sliding penguins to the tune of (Sing If You're) Glad To Be Gay by the Tom Robinson Band   :)

Quite cute, in a Daily-Mail-Fluffy-Animal-Picture way
