How about the Freedom party? You have probably never heard of it and that is more than fair since I just invented it. The idea would be that for every Freedom Party win (This could apply to the SOJ, as well) the candidate would promise not to turn up at the parliament and would do absolutely nothing for anyone, he would of course collect the salary and dive into the trough along with the rest of them but would not vote on any issue, stand on any committee and would quite possibly continue his day job as well.For the Jersey version I am considering putting myself forward as life long President , with a requirement that all my successful proteges would have to pay me 10% of their earnings in order that I can keep myself at the very top level of financial intercourse by partying and inviting various persons to lunch etc.No this would not be bribery and corruption, this would be a fair days work for a fair days pay and a reasonable reward for those who were able to lean a little in my direction.Any surplus funds could be lent out on favorable terms (to me, er , the party) I assume that I could have the party registered as a charity in order that I could start immediately to lobby for grants and donations to produce some inspirational advertising.In order to succeed I will of course require some heavyweights on my side and to that end I would be looking for a deputy leader and I am thinking of SS who has shown that he has got what it takes , although he may not be sociable enough to do any of the major lunches.I would bring back several past politicians and would accept advice on the current crop , who are absolutely useless, prepared to do nothing at all and who obviously have to swear an oath of allegiance to me. A contract signed in blood , as irrefutable evidence since it would immediately be DNA coded and locked in my safe , to ensure no slip ups or any aspiration to get anything done.My people need me , I humbly offer my services.
