Well there is a well coined phrase 'Fat Cats' which is in constant use and I just thought that the word fat in this instance just may have inferred that too!  JMHO!

I agree that waistlines should not generally be up for grabs!

Mrs Shenton's criticisms of bureaucracy are valid and to be applauded.

The wastelines of bureaucrats are none of her business.

Why not? Surely a fit and healthy staff is what all institutions should be aiming for.

My apologies - I have edited the post due to the circumstances

As to Deputy De Sousa does being a member of a so called Democratic body mean you only attend half the votes?  Or is she adopting the party line on political accountability? Let us hope the Bailiff is never part of the JDA as the States would hardly sit and vote:

i believe Deputy De Sousa had some tragic family news thats why she has not been in the states..

Mrs Shentons critisism of "bureaucracy" may well have been a simple diversionary play to the media, as it was accepted that the GST invoices levied against Meals on Wheels were incorrectly issued - simple mistake, not bureaucracy: see report here -

Call me cynical, but she was never gonna resign, simply because the money wasn't ever owed. Perhaps just a little diversion to make us forget that this woman called Harper "Lenny Henry" at the height of the child abuse investigation, and added further fuel to the media fire.

The Shentons seem to enjoy forging forward with incorrect public statements whilst conveniently disregarding facts.
