Channel TV / ITV Distorted audio problem!
« on: March 04, 2009, 11:41:19 AM »
N.B. This Posted on behalf of a friend who has problems with local TV transmission and no internet access,

Has anyone noticed any annoying distortion on ITV (CTV) recently? Not on satellite - that's OK - but on the normal terrestial TV if you're listening to NICAM stereo? It's not all the time, but when something is particularly loud it distorts horribly for me, especially in certain bits of loud adverts or Channel Report. When I notice it I can switch onto satellite and thanks to the delay hear the same bit again but it sounds OK on there. I normally watch through Sky but sometimes I record things from the terrestial aerial and those recordings are getting spoilt. Channels 1,2 & 4 are OK, it's just 3!

Has anyone else noticed it, or are both my tellies and the video playing up at the same time?!

Not recently - I thought CTV's purpose was to distort? But I do agree, it is annoying.

Yes the wife is always moaning about ctv, it does give out terrible sounds, try listening to the 6 o'clock news the sounds is up and down and as you say there is a noise in the background. SKY is perfect.

Rather than extend PJ even more, so much information so diverse, I have used this old heading. The message given will not change, this has entered the public domain from another blogg SSS.

Those that still think channel TV are reporting to us and are not biased, please have a look at this.

A switched on internet user, did his / her homework and spotted some changes to a statement. Make your own mind up. Obviously we are all muppets and do not deserve the truth.

Once again the disgusting team at CTV news show their true colours.

Amateurish un-subtle editing of Carrie's speech gave the casual (brainwashed)viewer an altogether different impression.

The broadcast version omitted the following statement:

"We had no complaints about our treatment by the States of Jersey Police whilst Lenny Harper was in charge of the investigations.

However, since Lenny Harper retired, we have found that the States of Jersey Police have consistently failed to communicate directly with us, or to keep us informed of progress on our individual cases or the investigation in general."
