Constable Juliette Gallichan
« on: February 05, 2009, 05:47:45 PM »
Is this Constable in charge of your Parish ?

Quotes :- Taken from Stuart Syvrets   blog..................... nows your chance to support the Constable of St. Mary

In her first test as Chairperson of PPC, Gallichan has failed miserably.

I name name Juliette Gallichan as Jersey's number one lady poodle!

Presposterously Pathetic Cock-up Committee, don't give up the day job

Where is Juliette Gallichan’s intelligence, integrity and spine?

I have removed the word  (Bailiff) from the above post, it was a bit childish of me to tag it on to the first line.

I have to admit Juliette Gallichan was completely unknown to me. As  Constable and  " Mother " of the parish, how strange it will be, if no one offers some support for the lady, I am sure she has done some good work in order to have been elected ??

Sad that not one person feels she is colourful enough in anyway to say something, either in her favour of not in favour on here.

Maybe she could take a lesson from Barak Obama, my partner has just told me that the new USA president has just banned all private jets for use by high level politicians. They will be queing at check in like everyone else. Some are not pleased at all !

Maybe if the Constable decided on an idea to save some serious money for Jersey, she would not be just another leaf on another tree, ( judging by the response on here).

I would say that she is doing what a lot of other members are doing and that is keeping out of the S**T because the more we learn from what is coming out from day today it is a wise person to keep their mouth shut and keep their thoughts to themselves. In that way which ever way to goes with SSS being correct or wrong ( i believe he is right ) they can say well i supported him by saying nothing or i did not want to interfere with the law if found to be in the wrong. There is so much covering up and liars that they will eventual lose themselves in their own liars. A.Lewis did always think himself important years ago before going into the States and hell what power he had to sign the order of suspension of the Chief of Police, he must have felt 10 feet tall. One wonders if he is a bit worried these days. All of you cast your minds back to all the things SSS has been saying and with the evidence that is coming out now should be making a few doubtful people very concerned indeed. Even the JEP is putting things in their post that they would not have a little while ago. The tide turns i think and let us see who gets churned up in the wake of the sinking boat.

CB.
Graeme Power should have been dismissed, not suspended when it became clear that it was he who was in charge of an out of control police operation and police force and that it was he who was spending 10’s of millions of pounds of taxpayer money funding Harpers ego trip and vendetta. GP should have been dismissed when he started lying to senior politicians about the credibility of the forensic evidence eg the coconut ! He and LH new that the February “partial remains” find at HdlG was not human, yet for over 2 months after he and coconut Harper misled the people of Jersey, politicians and the world media by pretending that this was a murder investigation. Remember CB the partial remains of a child were in fact a 50p size piece of bloody coconut !
Don’t expect anything from Connétable Juliet Gallichan - although she doesn’t look it I think she is a lightweight, se is a keep your head down type of politician. It is true Graeme Power doesn’t deserve to be suspended into anonymity. It is simply not fair on him or right and just, but our spineless politicians, including Le Marquand aren’t going to take any decisions on this, when they can keep passing the buck.
Mr Power should have been dismissed there and then. He then could, if he so wish, challenged his dismissal on the grounds of unfair dismissal.

So ask yourself why did they not sack him?
He would have taken them to task and that they did not want! So suspend and wait until he retires, case over and they are safe.

Wayne Rooney you are words a plenty but sadly facts few.

Thread is about Connetable Gallichan who ( I know its hearsay ) I have been told is a kind and considerate woman. However Jersey needs the truth and nothing but the truth.

Your post is so full of none facts though Wayne, I shall not bore the readers with going over them all again, except to advice you it was CM of the time Frank Walker who said we have an open cheque book to get to the truth, whatever it costs !

How would it have looked if he had not taken that action. You need to do some further research before offering none factual, well worn, and offering nothing new in todays debate. There are days of debate and facts on PJ regarding the HdeLG case from all view points with excellent factual backup ( as released ).

That's being polite Moot. Somebody once described him to me as a yes man who likes to surround himself with lots of other yes men. I thought at the time that it might also imply a particluar sexual orientation but that was just my furtive imagination doing overtime as usual!

BB It is true FW did say there would be no limit on funding in order to establish the truth. He said this only after coconut claimed that there were buried children’s bodies at HdlG. Why did why Coconut dug up most of st Martin ? Why did go on this mad trip with Coconut Harper ?
BB are you one of SSS disiples ?

Ok Wayne I am not into hero worship or being a disciple, It's not my style.

I have my own mind, as small as it may be. Jersey has some very good civil servants and politicians , however they also have their own minds and are not a blue print copy of the way you and I think.

Therefore disagreements will happen, that’s life !

Regarding the thread, has  Constable Juliette Gallichan made a serious leadership mistake, time will tell ?  I put the subject up for debate, my views are shown. Its good that you contribute.

Wayne Rooney - excuse me for asking, but have you been on the pop?? What on earth has a rambling post about a coconut got to do with Juliette Gallichan?

Personally, I think Mrs Gallichan was very wrong not at least to have the courtesy of showing Mr Powers letter to the other members of PPC, but hey, when did correct procedure ever matter with our States.

Furthermore what is the point of PPC when only the ministers can deal with complaints against themselves!!?? A joke, a nonsense and 'only in Jersey'.

GG,
What has a letter from Mr Power about his suspension and treatment to do with the Privileges and Procedures Committee of the States of Jersey and Constable Juliet Gallchan in her capacity as chair of PPC ?
PPC have no power to act on his suspension, they as a Committee have no mandate to give an opinion on his suspension.
There is a hint of what their function is in their name.
