Judging by Jimmy's past performance it will comissioning a survey to see whether there is any merit in commissioning surveys.

Why did Senator Perchard not figure this out before he proposed this so-called referendum. Is he averse to doing any proper research before wasting our time and money?

It's not that he's averse he just doesn't know how. Now I had the very great pleasure to work for many years with a member of Jimmy's extended family (the Perchard’s are spread far and wide). When my former colleague learned that Jimmy was planning to run for election he indiscreetly told me that there was general dismay and concern amongst the family because he was considered to be quite mad. Does anybody remember that ‘whicker man’ thing he built in a field in St. Martins to promote himself to the electorate? Quite mad.

Now I've met Jimmy on his cricket pitch and he was charming - all smiles and warm handshakes so he's not a bad person but the allegation is, as I understand it, that he's simply not capable. Now in the next few months there's gonna be a new COM and as a time served Senator and Assistant Minister at Health you might think he would be in line for a more high profile role. Well I bet you $10 each that Jimmy doesn’t get the chance to step up but gets shunted sideways to a department with a smaller budget like Housing.

Jep Tonight.

Harcourt pressure is on says Senator

A SENATOR has claimed that he is being pressured by some States Members to withdraw his proposition which seeks to delve into the Harcourt Esplanade deal.

Former Waterfront Enterprise Board director Senator Jim Perchard wants the States to see and sign the deal with preferred developers Harcourt when all financial guarantees are in place.

He claims that he is being pressured to withdraw his request for an open deal but has declined to reveal which of his political colleagues are exerting leverage.

‘I am under pressure to withdraw it,’ he said. ‘I have been asked to do so by a few States Members but I am not prepared to say who they are. Perhaps they are worried that it might divulge commercially sensitive information. But I have no intention of withdrawing it.’

If Jimmy doesn't stick to his guns (he won't btw) the leverage on him will never materialise, therefore we will never know who is responsible.

When posting a message, use the "Insert Image" tag which is below the I for Italics button.

You then just include URL of the image between the tags.

The only condition is that the image must be hosted somewhere on t'internet. Maybe some free image hosting site like picasa would do, if you need to upload something.
