Hi,

Can I risk repeating myself ?? The problem is GST. Don't try and dinker with it. It will cost in the long term.  Exemptions are a nightmare. Just focus on the GST issue. Now that my colleagues voted for it, keep the KISS principle. KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID !

The easiest solution is to get rid of it.  I am very very uncomfortable with 0/10, GST, De Minimis and 20/20.

I worry about turning Jersey into a private club like Monaco.

What's your take on housing stock for the parish?

I worry about people not understanding that the black hole is very real and will need filling.

I am led to believe that there are vacant properties all over the place - whether they are empty houses or blocks of flats being held for capital appreciation.  How about if everyone on PJ supplied details of all vacant properties spotted around the island?  Let's see just how many exist!

Are your two sentences linked - the black hole and empty properties?

"Red" Sarah?

Sean,

After all the stick I gave you yesterday (partly because you didn't log off!), I have to admit to warming to you ever so slightly.

Hi,

Just seen this. What is my take on Housing stock in the Parish ?

If you mean social rented housing, we could do with more.

If you mean private rental stock, I think we have to much A-H housing in the Buy to Rent market.

If you mean first time buyers, we could probably build more.

If you mean anything else, I would be nervous of any further build -up of residential construction in St. Brelade. La Moye School is full, Mont Nicolle is full and Quennevais is chock a block.
