Questions for Montfort Tadier
« on: September 23, 2008, 05:01:29 PM »
Montfort has agreed to come on.

Please only ask Montfort questions that are relevant to his standing for Senator.

Thanks

I support recycling 100% but the fact is we will never be able to recycle everyhing........not in a million years. Bellozane may breakdown any minute now. So what do we do with our rubbish. Stock-pile it and hope it magically disappears. A new incinertor has to be built. Lets spend a good amount of money to build the cleanest and most envioromental system we can get. We will never avoid emmissions but let's do our best to make them as harmless as possible and at least we can generate some of our energy needs out of a load of rubbish !! On the question of money, I don't think Jersey is short of a bob or two.

I support that on the basis that it is not a prequel to being legally out of date before it is finished.
BTW does JTM stand for Jersey Transport Minister??

Talking of which, Talk Back are playing back a recording of a meeting on independence from a few weeks ago featuring a couple of recorded questions from some Senator elects.  Is this very fair on the other Senator elects that were not involved in this meeting?

How can you write what you just did. Did you not notice the far superior alternative strategies suggested? Your post is just a bunch of assertions which you have swallowed wholesale from the spin doctors at TTS. For a start "a good amount of money to build the cleanest and most environmental system" is about half that of a new incinerator and the greener SYSTEMS needed are not incinerators and would be built and running a long time before any huge new construction like the planned incinerator was ready.

You views on recycling are mostly wrong too.

Hi Montfort, I would love to vote for you but i live at first tower and we have to put up with terrible smells on a daily basis and the effects of the monster belching out smoke, the smell sometimes is so bad that you feel sick from it, and the minister said that he has a plan to move the lot down to the harbour way including the sewage the dust carts roar up and down our road on a daily basis and we are fed up with it all being dumped on us poor folk at first tower, where do you stand on this, we should not have to put up with the stench, it is affecting our quality of life,
