If they appear on the bank outside my property, as they did during the last election, there will be a premature bonfire night celebration in St Brelade. Candidates you have been warned.

I am expecting the poster for Ozouf at the roundabout at West Park to be covered in grafitti before the month is out.  :)

I remember one year, maybe 1990.  Somebody went around with a marker pen drawing the picture of a prick protruding from one candidate elect's head on a load of his posters around the Midvale Road area.......Now I don't want to give anybody ideas but they were soon removed!

AND IT WASN'T ME !

I cannot even remember who the guy was now.

I think it has gone, and quite rightly.

With 21 candidates, a 4 foot wide banner is being greedy.  There isn't enough room for everyone to have a big one, like Ozouf's.

I haven't seen any of his posters yet. 4ft?  Thats a bit over-kill don't you think?  Mind you he has done it all before so knows the ropes I guess.

His appeared last friday morning, and his big one was on display as you exit the tunnel heading east.

They've put up a ring of crowd barriers on that roundabout now, presumably so everyone can attach their posters easily.

Well somebody told me from last Tuesday that they have £8,000 to spend on advertising??? (Can anybody confirm) I doubt some of the candidates would want to spend a One grand never mind Eight.

Only a few of the candidates would be able to afford 8K on advertising, not a level playing field :(

I noticed on Friday morning the large poster coming out of the tunnel had something about GST and what looked like a condom stuck on his mouth and by Saturday morning it was covered in graffiti, then removed

Ozouf's poster on the roundabout at the eastern end of the tunnel has had a number of teeth blacked out, at least it had early on Friday evening.

The roundabout at west park should be renamed JDA point for the banners and gawping pictures of Southern. Mind you it's appropriate for a roundabout to be used by the JDA, just going around in circles, no real direction :)

I have a budget of £150 for my elections. I get a free advert in the JEP and its website plus the websites of CTV and BBC Radio (Channel 103 have done one but so far not contacted me for any info). I am going to do 8 big-ish posters (maybe A2) for the railings and maybe 60 for all around the Island including shop windows through town.

Because my budget is so small, I needed to make sure that people see my posters and it becomes "memorable", so I have designed my own which I hope will make people look. My favourite is ready for people to download and print from here. (and stick in your windows if you like)

The reason I am not putting up hundreds like some of the others is that I know people get angry at looking at them (especially this year with 21 candidate), so 60 across the whole island should be enough (30 on lampposts and 30 in shop windows). Nobody said that the posters had to be "vote for me" with a mugshot of the candidate.
The second one isn't ready for download yet, but the general idea is there.

I think you might be going the right way with not putting so many posters up, as I for one get fed up with seeing so many for the same person.

The railings put up on the roundabouts are a joke.
