Does anyone actually know what he does?

Can anyone tell me why the arts budget is completely transparent and has to account publicly for every single penny spent but the sports budget, which is significantly larger, doesn't account publicly, and never has, for any of the money it spends? Where does all the sports budget go - we don't know?

Anyway, everyone knows he's a sports nut.

Rate him? I can't rate him as he doesn't make his spending (of our money) public! How can you evaluate something you can't see?

Here is a link, he voted in favour of GST and I guess as he is up for re-election soon you cannot blame him for showing no responsibility of this recent scandal.

I can only hope and pray he and his department are under investigation. Unfortunately I am too frightened to say anymore about him and his department.

I see he is against books being zero-rated for GST, despite being the Education Minister. Unbelievable!

Have you thought about contacting one of the UK media about it?

Sorry if I'm suggesting anything you've already done

I have been contacted by a couple of them, but it is very complicated, but I'm quite confident it will all come out in the not too distant future. I have been advised by my lawyer (legal aid) not to talk to the press just yet.

I have to say that before this scandal I took very little notice of Senator Vibert, but now, he will not be getting a vote from me.

Well Senator Vibert is not a Walker man he has as many arguments with them in the Council of Ministers as anyone, however he is a tax and spender who has failed to account for the population bubble that now threatens university grants (although he was happy to build more primary and then secondary schools whilst those same people were of that age).

Education is one of the worst over spenders we spend double Guernsey's budget for 50% more people and arguably Guernsey has the better education system. I would not send my children to a States school.

He keeps going on about there being no evidence of the Grand Prix system at Les Chenes/Greenfields, yet we have witnesses. Since when are witness statements not evidence?

Saw Kennedy and his daughter in the hospital the other day. Just wondered if she, too was brought up on a similar style to the Grand Prix system. Know what I mean, Joe  ;)

Vibert is cut from the same cloth as Walker et al. A low voltage bully obsessed with his own self image.

When you come to vote remember that this is the guy who spoke up for free parking for States members, longer lunch hours between States sittings and, when pressed, justified his publicly funded trip to the commonwealth games as a fact finding mission for Jersey students hoping to study in Australia and New Zealand! Weak minded weasal I say.

He's also run the arts into the ground, created division within the cultural sector and continues to allow gross inequality in funding between sports and cultural projects.

He's recent statement to the national media concerning Haut de La Garenne "I have a tendancy for openess" belies the fact that he runs his department almost entirely through a B agenda that the public cannot gain access to.

I have it on good authority that he is seroisly considering standing for Chief Minister. Please don't let that happen. This man cannot be trusted.
