I think this is the best internet forum for Jersey.  Well done Adrian. I will not be contesting the Senatorials. Sean Power

Welcome aboard Sean!

We have put a lot of work into this and the best thing about a forum like it is that you get to hear some real views that the JEP would not let you see!

You stood out from other politicians for asking competent questions of Minister Mike Vibert re the Heritage Duwks fiasco (gross waste of public money).

States members who are confident in their own mind, are not afraid to parlay here, nor should they be. A good dose of honesty and openness is exactly what Jersey needs at the moment. In my opinion that is what planetjersey represents. Welcome.

Will you be standing for re-election in the deputies Sean ?

We will differ on that one ESC because I was a critic of Lenny Harper before he even was announced as in charge of the enquiry.  Personally I think the only person who discredited the investigation was Harper himself.  He was the one who was ripped to bits by a Sunday Newspaper for knowingly withholding information.

I think some people have truely ignored the facts here and why can't a member of the public question the fact that the remains of a dead child ended up being a piece of coconut?

It is almost like saying people cannot ask that.

With the greatest respect JTM I'm sure Deputy Power is big enough and ugly enough (not meant defamatory) to answer his own questions.

They are questions to Sean Power not JTM.

Well thats my opinion.

And I respect it. I just don't see the point in having  Deputies on here to answer questions when you are going to do it for them

I am not answering it for him.  I am sure he will respond to you directly.  But I also do not want to think we are getting politicions on here for a one sided grilling.

Again with the greatest respect JTM but I put the questions to Sean Power and JTM answered them. I'm sorry if i've got it wrong.

Once more this exchange is not only going nowhere but also off topic. I'm sure Deputy Power will respond directly and I look forward to it.

Mod. I don't see it as not getting along and I hope JTM does not view it that way either

No I don't.  But we obviously have widely differing views on this one.

Let Sean answer the question and I will stay out of it.  My only comment is that you have put this under a thread I started for general questions for every candidate.  I think your question is probably a targeting one against a decision made by Sean.

I will be standing in St. Brelade again.  However, nominations are a good month out and I will not be doing any canvassing beforehand . In reference to the questions to me on the threads, I will answer all of them this morning. However, I am not going to get involved in a spat point by point. I also think a States Member has as much a right to use this site as anyone. As a matter of fact, I think it is a good idea, as some silly things have been said about me on other sites.

One site and a few blogs are run by people that were thrown off this Forum Sean.  As far as I am concerned, the idea is get as close to the facts as possible from the information available.

Hearsay gets nowhere in debate.
